Today, I want to talk to you about the 4 â??health foodsâ? that arenâ??t really healthy. Many foods today are advertised as being â??healthy,â? â??organic,â? and â??natural,â? but arenâ??t actually healthy for your body. It is important not to be deceived by the headlines on food products. You have to read the ingredient list to know whatâ??s really in your food.
4 â??Health Foodsâ? That Arenâ??t Healthy:
1. Granola: While granola may be healthier than many other snack foods, it does have unhealthy qualities. -Granola is very high in processed sugar. -Even if granola is made with honey, the honey has been processed and no longer contains beneficial enzymes and nutrients. -Granola also contains gluten. -Gluten can lead to digestive issues.
Healthy Alternative: -Try grainless granola for a healthy and delicious alternative. Itâ??s low- glycemic and made with healthy, omega-3 rich sprouted nuts and seeds to reduce inflammation and promote health: draxe.com/grainless-granola/
2. Yogurt: Known for many years to bring health because of its probiotic content, yogurt is not actually as healthy as it seems. -Many yogurt companies do not culture the yogurt properly, resulting in very low probiotic levels. -Most yogurt today contains Beta Casein A1, which is highly allergenic. -Most yogurt today is heated and pasteurized at 280 degrees, which denatures the proteins and damages most of the vital nutrients. -Non-organic yogurt is packed with chemicals, hormones, GMO feed.
Healthy Alternative: -Try Amasai, a true health food and healthy yogurt alternative, packed with beneficial probiotics, vitamins, minerals, protein, and healthy fats. -To learn more about the health benefits of amasai, visit: draxe.com/amasaiforhealth/
3. Whole Grains: Whole grains are reputed as a health food, but in reality, they are not very healthy. -Most whole grains contain gluten. -Over 50% of the U.S. population does not digest gluten well. -Therefore, gluten can cause allergic reactions, weight gain, pain and inflammation, and digestive disorders. -Most whole grains are highly processed and have not been properly sprouted. -Therefore, grains are difficult to digest, very inflammatory, and very high in carbohydrates, which result in weight gain.
Healthy Alternatives: -Consume sprouted, gluten-free whole grains, sprouted nuts and seeds, fruits, and vegetables.
4. Sports Drinks -Sports drinks are filled with artificial colorings and preservatives. -These chemicals are carcinogenic and linked to disease. -Sports drinks are high in processed sugars. -Sports drinks are made with synthetic electrolytes.
Healthy Alternatives: -Cultured whey and cultured beverages that are rich in electrolytes and probiotics.
Replace these unhealthy â??health foodsâ? with truly healthy alternatives. 1. Granola â?? Grainless Granola (draxe.com/grainless-granola/) 2. Yogurt â?? Amasai (draxe.com/amasaiforhealth/) 3. Whole Grains â?? Sprouted, gluten-free grains, sprouted nuts and seeds, vegetables, and fruits
