This Chocolate Shake Meal Replacement is great! It is high in protein which means it keeps you feeling full longer. I have never had it as a shake, though. I add 9 ounces of cold water to my shaker, pour the mix into the shaker, and shake. In a few seconds I have a great tasting chocolate pudding! I really enjoy the consistency and the wonderful chocolate taste. I try to have it at least once a day.
Quick meal and very filling!

I put the chocolate mix with ice in a blender. Instead of water to mix it with Diet Cream Soda. YUMMY! It's great when I have to work late and don't have time to cook or when my son has a baseball game.

I was surprised to see the negative reviews...this is an excellent, fast meal replacement....I use it for a quick meal. It tastes good, it's like a milkshake....some friends don't like the fake sugar aftertaste...something I didn't even notice....it truly has great texture, leaves you feeling satiated and is a heck of a lot better meal than most quick snacks or meals you might pick up on the run. Stick some blueberries in the vanilla shake for a yummy variation.
Highly recommended.

Love the chocolate BariWise meal replacement. Unlike other drinks, it's flavor is very pleasing, the consistency is delightful- I mix mine with part skim milk, water, and ice, blended til thick- and it doesn't have a nasty after taste. If I want to change it up, I add a banana! Yummm!

I bought this meal replacement last week and I'm very pleased with it. It's very filling, in fact I can hardly finish a serving. Ths is a perfect choice for a low calorie diet because you can actually have one serving for both breakfast and lunch. I will definitely buy more.

This was my first time trying this shake and I LOVED THEM!! I made mine with vanilla Almond milk and threw in a spoonful of all natural peanut butter and it was ALL THAT AND THEN SOME!! I even added a scoop of my Green Grass chocolate mix for added vitamins and fiber and didn't know it was in there. I think I will order more, I currently use them to replace one meal, but because they taste sooo good, I could do two if in a crunch.

I start just about everyday with the BariWise Chocolate Protein Shake w/water. Ever since I got a blender bottle for Christmas, I have been using this product. The first time I drank it, it took me almost 2 hours to finish the 16 oz. meal. Since then I am doing it in less than an hour and the taste is always consistently good. I was told on my last surgical follow-up that I am ahead of schedule on my weight loss and to keep doing what I am doing and this shake is an important part of my diet plan.

These are great. No grit or powdery taste. I add a few strawberries and the shake goes down so easy and fast. They have a thick rich texture. Being a renal patient I need more protein and these make it so easy

I drink these every morning. I put them in a blender with very cold water, about 6 ice cubes and let it blend. It is so thick, just like a chocolate shake. I drink it on my way to work and I'm full until late morning when I have a protein bar. These shakes are allowing me to stick to my diet!

I received a few boxes of these as a gift. I really like them! The Chocolate is very filling and tastes great. I mixed it up in the blender with frozen Raspberries and it was wonderful! Such a treat! I do wish they were made with a different sweetener than Aspartame. Too much Aspartame gives me headaches. (Can't wait to try the Vanilla.)

I like to blend the vanilla with frozen strawberries and strawberry flavoring for a very yummy and quick meal on the go. I make this for breakfast quite a bit....it is real good to have a breakfast with lots of protein!!!!

Flavor Disappointment

I was disappointed in the taste of the chocolatae shakes. It wasn't very sweet or chocolatly and I detected an undertaste. To make it taste better, I added a full packet of NutriSweet and half a package of low-cal hot chocolate, which added 30 calories but at least made it taste pretty good.
On the positive side, I like the texture (very thick) and the size of the serving (16 oz -- LARGE). Somebody just needs to work on the chocolate.

I tried the chocolate shake and I thought it had a terrible taste, compared to other shakes, that I have had. Make sure that your water is super cold.

When I read reviews and I see people complain about the taste of these products I always think, What were you expecting?? It's high protein DIET food- lower your expectations!
But I have to say, the chocolate Bariwise meal replacement shake deserves a poor rating for multiple reasons.
First- I used super ice cold water, so this should have been a refreshing drink- but I could not get over the taste. There is very, very little chocolate flavor compared with other brands of meal replacement shakes I've had. These Bariwise shakes were less expensive, but I'd have been much better off paying more for another brand. Yuk.
Next, the texture is just so nasty. After the initial shock of the lack of any kind of flavor, was the shock of the gelatinous, gloopy, wallpaper paste texture. The shake is thick, but not in a good way. the texture is bad. Seriously.
Because I bought several boxes of this shake, I've been trying to find a way to make them more palatable. Last night I added more water, and still could not adjust the texture. They must put an awful lot of thickening agent in these shakes, because two hours after I made a shake, and the icy water had melted, the shake was still a gelatinous glob standing firm in the glass.
I would not recommend these Bariwise meal replacement high protein shakes. Spend a little more and get something with decent texture and flavor.
