Very close to the real thing

Normally, I don't expect a diet product to taste exactly like the "real thing" but this was surprisingly close. Far better than any of the pretzels by Medifast and for having so much protein, it tasted amazing. I would recommend this highly.

These are GOOD! In fact almost too good. I have to control my consumption of these tasty little treats. I would eat these even if I wasn't trying to increase protein and reduce carbfat intake. These pretzels are light, crispy and flavorful, much better than "real" pretzels which I find to be bland, dried, globs of flour.

I received a package of these as part of my "free sample" pack and took them with me on a 5hr. flight since I knew there would be no meal service, and didn't want to buy their fattening snacks. I have to say they were better than I expected in fact I thought they were very good! I'm usually very sensitive to saltiness, but they were the right amount of salty for me a justright combo of crunchy and buttery, not exactly pretzel tasting but not far off. I had them with a diet Coke and they banished my hunger until landing time. I was proud of myself for not breaking my diet. I'll definitely buy some.

Okay, these taste nothing like pretzels, but they are pretty good. They have the texture of breadsticks only they crumble much more easily, and they taste rather nicely of butter and lightly of salt. Good for a craving. I will be buying these again.

This is the first time I have tried the pretzels, but was pleasantly surprised! They have a wheat taste, are very buttery and have just a little salt for added flavor. I will definitely buy more. Great snack!

These pretzels rock! Honestly, I prefer them over the real thing. Similar in taste to some of the honey wheat pretzels out there, only lighter and less salty. These little guys have a nice buttery taste and are a perfect, satisfying treat. One of my favorite Wonderslim snacks by far!

I love these! I used to buy them from Lindora medical clinic before I knew about this site.. These are slightly salted, air popped light, and very crunchy! Simply addicting! The bag has a decent amount, but wish it had more! Yes, they are dry, but they have a nutty taste! Best pretzels I've had! I'll be reordering.

I really like these. They're protein fortified, portion controlled, and have a nice crunch. The flavor is actually pretty good--tastes a bit like dry milk, which I happen to like. They don't taste exactly like regular pretzels, but they are pretty close.

I don't typically like normal pretzels, but thought I'd give these a try. The texture is slightly different than regular- almost more moist. The flavor is fantastic and you get a satisfying crunch. Definitely a staple for me now.

These pretzels are good..they have a buttery flavor to them. They can be a little dry, buy pretzels are usually dry. They can be a little salty if you are not used to salt. Otherwise, a good deal for the ammount of protein you get.

I have the same problem with these pretzels as I do with the sour cream & onion Cruncho's...it's difficult not to want more than 1 bag at a time.



Seems like there is more product in the Cruncho's than in the pretzels, but they aren't bad at all.

These pretzels are actually pretty good... That being said, I didn't expect to like them and was surprised when they tasted pretty close to a pretzel product. My only complaint is that they're ridiculously delicate and tend to shatter if you knock them off the counter. I love them with mustard and they're even better with a few tablespoons of PB2 to dip them in.

I am on NS, but wanted something to supplement my meals. Thus, from the NS board - these products were recommended! I HATE(well too strong), but STRONGLY DISLIKE NS' pretzels. Well I have found some new ones - yippee! These do have a buttery taste, but what I LUVED is that they have salt on them - just like the REAL ONES! I ate these for lunch - not solo - but with a salad + protein(egg). After eating these, I was FULL TO THE BRIM and didn't eat my salad until dinner time! Not sure if it was the pretzels, but I'd like to think so.....

I got these pretzels as a sample. I did not like them at first. Then I got another bag as a sample, and tried them again. They were much better the second time. So I ordered some, and now I LoVe them, especially with a little yellow mustard! Maybe the first bag I received was stale or something, but every bag I've gotten since then has been crispy & crunchy!! Definitely satisfies the craving!

I always carry these pretzels with me wherever I go. I have a bag in my car, in my gym bag and in my tennis bag. When I get that gnawing in my stomach for something to eat right then, this is my go to food. Convenient and no mess when I am driving or on the tennis court. Takes away my hunger immediately.

The pretzels are tasteful and fulfilling. After eating the bag though you might want to grab a glass of water it's very dry tasting. Want I like most about the pretzels is they are not salty like the pretzels you buy in the store. Yes I would buy this product again it was yummy!

I use this to make pretzel-covered chicken. I crush these, add a little Mrs. Dash, salt and pepper. Dip your chicken breast in skim milk and then roll in the crushed pretzel mixture and bake. Chicken comes out moist and tasty! Dip it in mustard for added flavor.

These little guys aren't too shabby; they have good crunch and a nice buttery aroma (doubtless faux, but any port in a storm). They could use more salt. There's the usual faint protein aftertaste, and the texture is a bit odd, but they're a fairly satisfying crunch-salt type snack.

You never know what you are going to get when you order a food products that is to help you out with your diet. BUT I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with these pretzels. I needed a small snack to hold me over and these did the trick for me. I'll definitely buy more.

These are great for that crunchy/salty snack craving. However, they have more of a breadstick taste and texture vs. a pretzel. That being said, for the excellent protein-carb ratio on these, I wasn't expecting a perfect match. They are great for using with sour cream or cheese dips.

I was kind of underwhelmed by these (as the texture is different) until I tried them with mustard. Now, I keep Gulden mustard packets in my purse, and these are a great replacement for movie popcorn. I would give this 5 stars if these were fully enriched with vitamins and minerals.

These "pretzels" taste just like crunchy bread sticks with a bit of protein grain in the finish. They do not taste like pretzels at all. If you are craving something dry and crunchy, this is the way to go for your snack option. Will definitely purchase again.

Not sure why these got any bad reviews. They are a great little snack that satisfies the crunch and salt cravings of someone on a low-cal diet, but stays within the guidelines for being lower in carbs. Will order these again.

These are very good if you get a craving for starch or that afternoon "crunch". There are plenty in the bag and they are quite thick and very crunchy. Like others have stated, they do get "dry" in your mouth so have a big glass of water handy when eating. I felt full after eating a bag and drinking water.

I enjoyed these and liked them better than the regular pretzels you might buy in the store. They do have a bit of a different taste, but different in a good way.

I had some on my drive from Nashville to Chicago, and the crunch was great for when my eyelids got a bit heavy. They are a bit dry, though, so make sure you have something to drink available to you. I really liked them with plain water.

I will buy these often as they are a good alternative to the Protein Crunch Chips.

These pretzels make it hard to believe that they are so low in carbs. The flavor is pretty good although there is a bitter back of the tongue taste after swallowing. This is remedied by dipping the pretzels in mustard.

These pretzels are shaped like pretzels and salty like pretzels but the similarities end there. This is not to say they taste bad at all but they just don't remind me all that much of pretzels. Also, if you drop them they shatter like glass. If you are craving a crunchy, salty snack this is a good way to go.

I tried them, twice. They leave a lot to be desired. Have a big glass of water with you, they are very dry. They may make a good filler for a meat loaf or breading on baked chicken. I know some people like these and that is great,but just not for me.

Pretzel by far are my snack of choice so the thought of low carb pretzels scared me a little. I will say that I had to try these 3x before I decided if I liked them or not. They do have a bit of a chalky after taste not familiar with normal pretzels. However all things considered I will order them again because if I don't I will eat regular pretzel and that would blow my low carb efforts.

These pretzels were ok. They were crunchy and salty and buttery. They were also filling and, for a small bag, they packed a decent amount of pretzels in there. I think Diet Direct has spoiled me, though, because there are so many other snacks I enjoyed MORE than the pretzels, that I probably wouldn't order the pretzels over those other items. I would recommend them to anymore wanting a pretzel fix, but I'm not sure I'd order them again.

No. Do they satisfy my need for regular high calorie crackers and other naughty stuff? Yes, they do. Will I continue to use them to satisfy the need to crunch? You betcha.

I bought these because of all of the positive reviews on this site. I have to say I'm really disappointed.



Maybe I got a bad box... but I find these "ButterTwist Pretzels" really hard and lacking in taste.



On the side of the bag the expiration date says 111610 (Nov 16th 2010).



So I'm assuming that they are naturally this way.



Therefore my vote is: 2 thumbs down.



I like the Sweet BBQ Mix and the Jalepeno Pretzels. Nice crunch, good texture, and very tasty.

Got these as a sample in the last 2 shipments, and the 1st time I tried it, I spit it out. The 2nd time I got a shipment I decided to try it again, and it was edible, but not good at all. Something is kinda OFF about these, they don't taste like pretzels at all and that's why I won't order them after trying the samples.

Based on the other reviews, I ordered 5 bags off the bat. Personally, I feel they should not be called "pretzels" for any reason other than their familiar shape and the light sprinkle of salt. I felt they tasted more like Goldfish (minus the cheddar or whichever flavor) and a Milkbone hybrid. I ate them.. They were just okay. If they actually had some sort of flavor dusting on them, I'd bump them up at least 2 stars.

Tried them as a sample. Not what I was craving. :/

I wasn't crazy about these. They were edible, but for me that lacked a little crunch and even though the salt content is up there, they seemed to lack a little flavor too. I won't be buying this one.



I personally preferred the Sour Cream and Onion bites. They gave me more of the texture and flavor that I craved in a snack bag item. I hope to try the other flavor of that product soon.

I really didn't like these pretzels. I have tried all the flavors. They are awfully dry. I couldn't make enough saliva to swallow them. Even with beverages, they were very dry and hard to swallow. This is perhaps the 1st wonderslim product I have tried that I dislike so strongly. They are usually all so good.

I don't know what everyone else is eating, but I do not like these AT ALL! They taste powdery, dry, flavorless, flat, and NOTHING like a pretzle. If you've never had them before and want to try, just purchase one bag. Otherwise you may find yourself with expensive snacks that you can't eat.

Soy flour and or fiber bloats me terribly. Eat enough of this in addition to other soy products and experience hormonal imbalance...no way. If you are still craving carbs on your low carb diet - your carbs aren't low enough. Skip this. Tasted like cardboard anyway... not to mention the GAS attacks. Whew!

I had high hopes for these pretzels when my doctor told me about them. So I ordered a bag of them and was sorely disappointed. These snacks do not taste like pretzels. They have a weird after-taste and there is no salt on the outside of the snacks like you would expect on pretzels. These snacks are bland tasting. I do think that adding some salt to them would result in a snack that taste sort of like a pretzels. I definitely won't be buying these again.

At first bite they are not too bad. I had a glimmer of hope. They literally turned to dust in my mouth, still not bad if you want something salty. Then out of no where, the nastiest taste ever!! I literally was gagging, running around looking for something to drink to wash it down! I love most of the other Wonderslim products, but for me, this is not edible.

I REALLY wanted to like these!! I was excited to try these after all of the great reviews. But what I found was this - I put them in my mouth, the salt in the beginning was great and I thought they were going to be good but after chewing, they got powdery. I love pretzels, and the reviews for these were good, so I had high hopes. I know they're diet food and would not taste amazing, but they are just so gross. They are drier than I'd have thought possible. Somewhat like sand, actually. Very hard to swallow. Though the initial taste is not good, it's bearable. However, they have a truly disgusting aftertaste. I will definitely be sending them back.

I'm on the Hate It side of this one. Not tasty to begin with but this 'pretzel' got nastier each second it was in my mouth. I didn't know whether to swallow it quick or just spit it out. Turns out it was too dry to do either easily.

I won't bother forcing nasty down my throat again. Yuck! Not sure what others are loving about these. This one is money spent that's going in the trash.

These things are horrible, which is surprising since just about everything else I've tried are fair to fantastic. These are dry and tasteless. I choked down the first serving and tried a second a few days later but just gave up and tossed the rest in the trash.

If I could give these a negative rating, I would. These were some of the nastiest tasting snacks I have ever eaten. I would definitely not recommend these WonderSlim Pretzel Snacks to anyone. I just cannot get them down. I even tried putting mustard on them, which defeats the diet purpose of them, and I cannot eat them even with mustard. These will definitely be going back.

I actually had to spit the pretzel out that I was chewing on, and I'm not a picky eater. At first it was just bland, but after a very little while there was an aftertaste that was just dreadful. I shared some with a co-worker and she agreed. She said, "If sawdust could go bad, it would taste like this." I suppose if you dipped them in something they might be ok, but I'll never eat one again. I had to brush my teeth afterwards just to get the taste out of my mouth. I do not recommend.

I ordered these to take to the movies in lieu of popcorn. They are awful. Dry, weird flavor. I had to have liquids to be able to swallow them without choking. If you need something salty and crunchy or you dip them in ranch or honey mustard, you may like these. They are definitely not for me.

The pretzels are the first WonsderSlim product that I do not like. The seem to be very chalky.
