I've created this video to help motivate people that are struggling in achieving their goal, whatever that might, including weight loss. Back in the day, it was motivational videos like this that inspired me, fed my passion, and compelled me to succeed. Seeing other people like me transform their lives, makes me feel that anything is possible. If they can be successful, so can I. From that drive I was able to persevere through the hardship, keep pushing when times got tough, and achieve my goal. Hopefully this video can help to motivate, inspire or show others that anything is possible.

-Peak at 233lbs (early-2010).
-September 2010 - early 2011 diet down to 208lbs (multiple times).
-Weight came back up to 218lbs in mid-2011.

4 Months Before Target Date:

BodyFat : 37%
Waist : 44"

February 2012 -- May 2012 (4 months)
Weight : 222lbs to 166lbs (lost 56 lbs)
BodyFat : 37% to 19.2% (lost 17.8%)
Waist : 44" to 36" (lost 8 inches)
Method : Cardio & Bodyweight (85%) Weight Training (15%)

December 2012 -- February 2013 (3 months)
Weight : 168lbs to 146lbs (lost 22lbs)
Bodyfat : 19.7% to 12.4% (lost 7.3%)
Waist : 36" to 32" (lost 4 inches)
Method : Cardio & Bodyweight (60%) Weight Training (40%)

July 2013 -- September 2013 (2 months)
Weight : 143lbs to 135lbs (lost 8lbs)
Bodyfat : 12.2% to 8.3% (lost 3.9%)
Waist : 32" to 30" (lost 2 inches)
Method : Cardio & Bodyweight (30%) Weight Training (70%)

(October 2013 - Now) -- Maintenance
Weight : 140 - 145lbs
Bodyfat : 10% - 12.5%
Waist : 31" - 32"
Method : Cardio & Bodyweight (20%) Weight Training (80%)

I decided to keep my body fat between 10% - 12.5% to compensate the loose skin I got from losing the excess fat. If I get leaner than this, I get the sagging skin look.

With my current body fat percentage, I can easily balance eating my favorite food, clean food and do 30 minutes exercise 3-4 days a week to maintain it.

Before I met you, I gave up easily.
Even the smallest set back caused me to throw in the towel.
I would quit before I began.
You were larger than life
unapproachable for people like me.
I couldn't imagine you would ever be my friend.
I felt unworthy, incapable
of having a friend with such strength.
You challenged me to never give up
and that seemed impossible.
You were the perfect friend to so many others,
but I doubted you would be the same to me.
I watched you walk by with winners
and achievers.
I told myself you were out of my league.
The pain of jealousy cut deep.
I was angry at you and all those who called you 'friend'.
You were part of an elite crowd
that wouldn't let the likes of me in.
I saw your determination
doggedness and devotion follow all those around you.
I wanted more than anything
to add you to my list of friends,
to have what they had.
Slowly, I got up
and day by day resolved to continue despite any and all difficulties.
With you in my life each day
I began to believe I could succeed.
I couldn't have done it without you, Perseverance
and I love you for it.
You build character, you support purpose
and you make winning possible.
Look at me, my friend
I am a success because of your support and who you are, Perseverance.
If you weren't a part of my life,
I wouldn't be here today celebrating this victory.
I am forever thankful to you.
You kept me going when I wanted to quit.
You turned weakness into strength.
