My doctor recommended the Biotin to me after Bariatric Surgery and so I have been on this for quite a while. I don't notice any great improvement to my nails. I will be 60 this year and I know that your skin tends to get thinner as you age but after being on this for almost 2 years, there doesn't seem to be any great improvement in my skin. Matter of fact, my skin tends to be dry. Although I probably will continue, I think I need to look into a better grade of Biotin, possibly.

I purchased this product because like many others I too have had Lap Band surgery. My hair began to thin. I purchased this product and my hair stopped shedding, but the only draw back is if you stop the pills the hair will begin to thin again. I guess everything is a catch 22!

I had lap band surgery in Dec. 2011 and was experiencing hair loss to the point of feeling self conscious. I read about Biotin and had my doubts but after 3 months I noticed very little hair loss and much thicker hair especially in areas I was thinning. However, I stopped taking it and after 3 months I started losing hair again. So, make sure you stick with it and your vitamins too!

Just started taking these because of the hair loss I've experienced since my by pass surgery 4 months ago. It's only been a couple weeks since I've been taking the biotin, I'm still losing hair. I don't think I'm losing it as intense as when it started, but i will let you know about 6 months.
