I mix my amaretto chocolate with coffee every afternoon for a very satisfying and delicious snack. There is no protein drink that I've tried that tastes as wonderful as this brand. I look forward to it daily and it keeps my metabolism going strong.

LOVE IT! If you're having difficulty mixing, try mixing with a small amount of cold water first, until well blended, THEN add hot water. I drink it every morning!

I have tried other diet cocoas and they were gritty, didn't disolve and frankly didn't taste very good...These are nothing like other brands. The flavor is great! I put one packet in with my coffee in the morning and have a delicious flavored mocha.

I love this cocoa! I have tried the marshmallow, regular, and cinnamon, and mint flavors, they are all terrific! I have one nearly every morning. They are so good, I fight feeltings of guilt for drinking cocoa on my diet! They are filling, and just perfect for conquering that chocolate fix!

I tried the cinnamon hot chocolate and loved it! The flavor is very reminicent of the mexican hot chocolate that I grew up drinking. These mix very well and have a very nice creamy texture. I am very pleased, these have no grit or weird protein after taste.

I am a recent bariatric surgery patient and am so glad to have discovered this product! Pre surgery, I tried the Medifast line of products and hated the taste, not to mention all the lumps that were left after mixing.
The Bariwise tastes great and mixes very smoothly, leaving no clumps. Great way to get in extra protein and feel like you're treating yourself at the same time!

This hot chocolate makes my day. After trying the various flavors, I found Amaretto to be the best by far. I add a tablespoon of special dark cocoa powder and it tastes wonderfully rich.

This is my 2nd year to buy these drinks, and they're just as good as I remember them. The Cinnamon flavor is my favorite. They are smooth and creamy and taste fantastic! No big lumps left over after stirring, no bad aftertaste like I get with the WonderSlim hot drinks. These taste just like any other hot chocolate, just super filling. A cup of this with a protein bar and you're completely full and satisfied.

I drink hot chocolate every morning. Being able to find a healthy substitute has been phenomenal. It tastes great especially for a diet hot chocolate. It does not have as strong a chocolate flavor as other hot chocolates you find in the grocery store but it still tastes great.

This is the BEST stuff ever.
When I am craving chocolate or carbs, I go to this stuff. The amaretto is my favorite flavor. the consistency is a little odd when you are first mixing it up, but once it is all dissolved it is great and tastes equally as good as any over the counter regular hot chocolate.
Wonderful stuff. highly Highly recommend it to folks on a very low carb diet, especially when you are ready to kill someone for a sugar fix.

I decided to do my own taste test after reading all the reviews for both WonderSlim and BariWise here are the results:
BariWise is lower in fat, carbs, potassium,and sugar and has 3g more protein and a serving size uses 2 oz more water. It mixes easier and though the WonderSlim is good the BariWise has a smoother less chalky taste if you stir occasionally while you are enjoying. BariWise does have 10 more calories per serving though. So it depends on what you are looking for in a hot chocolate! BariWise Wins for me! (Updated on 2/19/2011.)

I LOVE, LOVE this hot chocolate. It mixes easily and tastes yum, yum, yummy! I have tried the hot chocolate, hot chocolate & marshmallows, raspberry, cinnamon and mint. They are all good. Cinnamon and the regular hot chocolate are my faves. Only 80 calories and 15 proteins---now, that's a great product!

THESE ARE AWESOME!! They are so much smoother than the WonderSlim Hot Chocolates and easier to mix! My favorites are the AMARETTO (to die for), the Mint and the Cinnamon. The cinnamon I like to put a cinnamon stick in and it really intensifies the flavor! It is hard for me to just have one of these in a sitting! It is a great way to wind down at night and boosts your protein just before bed!! HIGHLY recommend these!

I used to enjoy Medifast Hot Cocoa until my body started to reject it and it made me sick. I thought I would never enjoy a protein-based cocoa again. The taste is great, it mixes easily, and there's none of the guilt I would have drinking a sugary cocoa instead. I don't drink coffee or tea (against my religion), so it's such a pleasure to have a nice, hot, healthy cocoa to drink instead.
I have a very sensitive digestive system, and haven't had any problems drinking this these last 3 weeks. My body likes it!
I ordered a box of the Wonderslim cocoa too, but you have to use boiling water instead of just hot water for the Bariwise. They both taste very similar, but I think the Bariwise wins my taste test....plus it mixes easier than the Wonderslim.
I ordered the variey pack and thought that I would like the Chocolate Mint the best, but my favorites turned out to be the regular Hot Chocolate, Cinnamon (this one is surprisingly GREAT), and the Choc. with marshmallows. I like adding 5 or 6 drops of peppermint oil to my regular chocolate and it tastes better than the Mint Chocolate. I disliked the Raspberry, Amaretto, and Mocha flavors. I didn't get a sample of the Irish Creme, so I can't comment on that one.
I really stocked up on this cocoa when it was on sale....what a great price and I have plenty to last me for the next little while. One tip I'll leave is that I use a battery-operated mini-whipper called a Vitaminder and it mixes up the cocoa quickly leaving it creamy with about a half-inch of froth on top. Sometimes I add a dollop of low-carb canned whip cream on top. It's a nice bedtime treat!

I am doing medifast but am incorporating some of the wonderslim/bariwise products b/c I think they taste better and have lower carbs. I add the Hot chocolate with marshmallows to my morning coffee everyday. It tastes good and is filling. There is enough chocolate flavor for me and it does not have much of a chemical taste (medifast cappucino and hot cocoa have a chemical taste to me). I have tried a few other flavors, but like the one with marshmallows best.

I use the hot chocolate flavor or the raspberry hot chocolate as frozen, blended drinks. I use a chocolate raspberry-flavored diet soda that contains no calories, caffeine or sodium. Chill the soda before use. Put 8 oz of soda into a blender, add 10 oz ice and a package of either hot chocolate or chocolate raspberry mix. Blend until smooth (my blender has a pre-programmed setting for frozen drinks). You end up with a delicious, thick frozen drink. You need a spoon to eat it. Because it is so thick, it is more filling and you stay full longer. I have used these for years and have maintained my weight loss. I eat these at lunch or sometimes an evening snack.

So far I have tried the Mocha, Irish Cream, Amaretto and Chocolate w/ Marshmallows and they are all delicious but a bit too sweet if made with just water. They are excellent made in a big mug with coffee or espresso, also blended with espresso and ice. I look forward to my hot chocolate each morning like I used look forward to my Starbucks. Highly recommend!

I've tried most of the flavors (haven't tried cinnamon), and I like all the ones I've tried. I especially like the Amaretto, I believe it is my absolute favorite. This is the ONLY protein drink supplement I like. Smooth texture, no grit, no aftertaste. I tastes just like delicious (full fat, full calorie) hot chocolate.
I was worried I'd have to give them up in the hot summer months... but I've found they are AWESOME over ice! I just shake up six or seven ounces of water with one packet of cocoa mix with my blender cup. Then I pour it over crushed ice. It is YUMMY. My favorite flavor is cinnamon, but they are all good like this. (The one with marshmellows is a little odd this way, as the marshmellows just sort of meld onto the ice... but it's still tasty.)

These are my favorite out of all the Bariwise products I have tried so far!!! The amaretto is my favorite flavor. It's hard to get creative with protein drinks after sampling a little bit of everything since I had my surgery one year ago. Having a hot chocolate is wonderful. My only suggestion is that you add fiber to them. I add my own clear fiber powder to them.

If you are looking for a high protein and low cal alternative to whey protein shakes, I recommend this blended with cold water or almond milk if you are feeling fancy. There is not a great variation amongst the flavors, but the chocolate flavor is all there. Smooth, creamy texture even served cold.

These are lovely and creamy with several different flavors to choose from in one box. I haven't come across one yet that I didn't like. I intend to order whole boxes of my favorites, but as I said, buy a sample box first to find which ones appeal to you. You can have decadent chocolate hot cocoa and still stay on plan.

This tastes better than regular hot cocoa. After bariatric surgery I gave up coffee. This is a great alternative to coffee. I like all of the flavors. The only problem with this I have is that sometimes, by the time I am almost finished with my cocoa, there is a lot of residue stuck to the bottom of my mug. I know I mixed it properly, but did I not drink it fast enough, or was my water not hot enough? I don't know. It will not stop me from buying this product.

I've been drinking this Hot Chocolate for several years...I really enjoy it although it is not as chocolatey as I would like. I mix it with a wire whisk to smooth out the lumps and add a teaspoon of half and half for creaminess. Overall a great drink on a cold day and doesn't add too many calories to your diet.

I haven't tried all the flavors yet but so far am impressed. The cinnamon seemed tasty, but my taste buds adjusted too quickly so would lose flavor unless I ate something or took breaks. After drinking the cinnamon I had loose stools, so I don't know if I had too much maltitol that day (from wonderslim bars) or if it was the hot chocolate. I really liked the amaretto. It can be difficult to get rid of all the lumps (I use a Kcup machine instead of boiling water) and the amaretto formed a skin on top when I let it cool, which was kind of gross looking but dissolved when stirred.

First of all, I hesitate to say anything negative about a hot chocolate that has 15 grams of protein and only 80 calories, when six weeks ago I thought I could never enjoy hot chocolate on the particular diet I'm following. But that being said, before trying this I was using another brand that was much creamier and didn't use aspartame, and that's why I give it three starts. Good flavor, but kind of watery and for me, the aspartame is a less desirable sweetener in flavor and health effects than sucralose. It's good enough I would buy it again, but it could be better.

I decided to do my own taste test after reading all the reviews for both WonderSlim and BariWise here are the results:
BariWise is lower in fat, carbs, potassium,and sugar and has 3g more protein and a serving size uses 2 oz more water. It mixes easier and though the WonderSlim is good the BariWise has a smoother less chalky taste if you stir occasionally while you are enjoying. BariWise does have 10 more calories per serving though. So it depends on what you are looking for in a hot chocolate! BariWise Wins for me! (Updated on 2/19/2011.)

I LOVE, LOVE this hot chocolate. It mixes easily and tastes yum, yum, yummy! I have tried the hot chocolate, hot chocolate & marshmallows, raspberry, cinnamon and mint. They are all good. Cinnamon and the regular hot chocolate are my faves. Only 80 calories and 15 proteins---now, that's a great product!

THESE ARE AWESOME!! They are so much smoother than the WonderSlim Hot Chocolates and easier to mix! My favorites are the AMARETTO (to die for), the Mint and the Cinnamon. The cinnamon I like to put a cinnamon stick in and it really intensifies the flavor! It is hard for me to just have one of these in a sitting! It is a great way to wind down at night and boosts your protein just before bed!! HIGHLY recommend these!

I used to enjoy Medifast Hot Cocoa until my body started to reject it and it made me sick. I thought I would never enjoy a protein-based cocoa again. The taste is great, it mixes easily, and there's none of the guilt I would have drinking a sugary cocoa instead. I don't drink coffee or tea (against my religion), so it's such a pleasure to have a nice, hot, healthy cocoa to drink instead.
I have a very sensitive digestive system, and haven't had any problems drinking this these last 3 weeks. My body likes it!
I ordered a box of the Wonderslim cocoa too, but you have to use boiling water instead of just hot water for the Bariwise. They both taste very similar, but I think the Bariwise wins my taste test....plus it mixes easier than the Wonderslim.
I ordered the variey pack and thought that I would like the Chocolate Mint the best, but my favorites turned out to be the regular Hot Chocolate, Cinnamon (this one is surprisingly GREAT), and the Choc. with marshmallows. I like adding 5 or 6 drops of peppermint oil to my regular chocolate and it tastes better than the Mint Chocolate. I disliked the Raspberry, Amaretto, and Mocha flavors. I didn't get a sample of the Irish Creme, so I can't comment on that one.
I really stocked up on this cocoa when it was on sale....what a great price and I have plenty to last me for the next little while. One tip I'll leave is that I use a battery-operated mini-whipper called a Vitaminder and it mixes up the cocoa quickly leaving it creamy with about a half-inch of froth on top. Sometimes I add a dollop of low-carb canned whip cream on top. It's a nice bedtime treat!

I am doing medifast but am incorporating some of the wonderslim/bariwise products b/c I think they taste better and have lower carbs. I add the Hot chocolate with marshmallows to my morning coffee everyday. It tastes good and is filling. There is enough chocolate flavor for me and it does not have much of a chemical taste (medifast cappucino and hot cocoa have a chemical taste to me). I have tried a few other flavors, but like the one with marshmallows best.

I use the hot chocolate flavor or the raspberry hot chocolate as frozen, blended drinks. I use a chocolate raspberry-flavored diet soda that contains no calories, caffeine or sodium. Chill the soda before use. Put 8 oz of soda into a blender, add 10 oz ice and a package of either hot chocolate or chocolate raspberry mix. Blend until smooth (my blender has a pre-programmed setting for frozen drinks). You end up with a delicious, thick frozen drink. You need a spoon to eat it. Because it is so thick, it is more filling and you stay full longer. I have used these for years and have maintained my weight loss. I eat these at lunch or sometimes an evening snack.

So far I have tried the Mocha, Irish Cream, Amaretto and Chocolate w/ Marshmallows and they are all delicious but a bit too sweet if made with just water. They are excellent made in a big mug with coffee or espresso, also blended with espresso and ice. I look forward to my hot chocolate each morning like I used look forward to my Starbucks. Highly recommend!

This hot chocolate is a definite MUST HAVE in my pantry! I have one every night, and I can't live without it. I've tried most of the flavors (haven't tried cinnamon), and I like all the ones I've tried. I especially like the Amaretto, I believe it is my absolute favorite. This is the ONLY protein drink supplement I like. Smooth texture, no grit, no aftertaste. I tastes just like delicious (full fat, full calorie) hot chocolate.
I was worried I'd have to give them up in the hot summer months... but I've found they are AWESOME over ice! I just shake up six or seven ounces of water with one packet of cocoa mix with my blender cup. Then I pour it over crushed ice. It is YUMMY. My favorite flavor is cinnamon, but they are all good like this. (The one with marshmellows is a little odd this way, as the marshmellows just sort of meld onto the ice... but it's still tasty.)

These are my favorite out of all the Bariwise products I have tried so far!!! The amaretto is my favorite flavor. It's hard to get creative with protein drinks after sampling a little bit of everything since I had my surgery one year ago. Having a hot chocolate is wonderful. My only suggestion is that you add fiber to them. I add my own clear fiber powder to them.

If you are looking for a high protein and low cal alternative to whey protein shakes, I recommend this blended with cold water or almond milk if you are feeling fancy. There is not a great variation amongst the flavors, but the chocolate flavor is all there. Smooth, creamy texture even served cold.

These are lovely and creamy with several different flavors to choose from in one box. I haven't come across one yet that I didn't like. I intend to order whole boxes of my favorites, but as I said, buy a sample box first to find which ones appeal to you. You can have decadent chocolate hot cocoa and still stay on plan.

This tastes better than regular hot cocoa. After bariatric surgery I gave up coffee. This is a great alternative to coffee. I like all of the flavors. The only problem with this I have is that sometimes, by the time I am almost finished with my cocoa, there is a lot of residue stuck to the bottom of my mug. I know I mixed it properly, but did I not drink it fast enough, or was my water not hot enough? I don't know. It will not stop me from buying this product.

I've been drinking this Hot Chocolate for several years...I really enjoy it although it is not as chocolatey as I would like. I mix it with a wire whisk to smooth out the lumps and add a teaspoon of half and half for creaminess. Overall a great drink on a cold day and doesn't add too many calories to your diet.

I find it very satisfying mixed with coffee as my breakfast, and very comforting just before bedtime. I usually use the plain hot chocolate, but the mint has a nice refreshing flavor.

I haven't tried all the flavors yet but so far am impressed. The cinnamon seemed tasty, but my taste buds adjusted too quickly so would lose flavor unless I ate something or took breaks. After drinking the cinnamon I had loose stools, so I don't know if I had too much maltitol that day (from wonderslim bars) or if it was the hot chocolate. I really liked the amaretto. It can be difficult to get rid of all the lumps (I use a Kcup machine instead of boiling water) and the amaretto formed a skin on top when I let it cool, which was kind of gross looking but dissolved when stirred.

First of all, I hesitate to say anything negative about a hot chocolate that has 15 grams of protein and only 80 calories, when six weeks ago I thought I could never enjoy hot chocolate on the particular diet I'm following. But that being said, before trying this I was using another brand that was much creamier and didn't use aspartame, and that's why I give it three starts. Good flavor, but kind of watery and for me, the aspartame is a less desirable sweetener in flavor and health effects than sucralose. It's good enough I would buy it again, but it could be better.
