If an elderly feeds on a diet that does not have enough calories and eats foods that is poor in nutritional content, then an active lifestyle is something that will be hard to live by. Foods that are rich in nutrients, fruits, vegetables and whole grains fight off feelings of tiredness and boosts metabolism.
o To ward off depression With the many changes occurring in the body as well as the other aspects happening in a person's life as aging happens, things can get confusing and anxious for them. This can be one of the possible reasons why most elderly people are depressed. But having a healthy diet can change things around because with the right diet, energy levels are high, exercise can be done properly, they can sleep well and good things follow.
