However, it is an excellent source for hi quality, quantity of protein and it's not a lot to drink. Makes getting in 70-90 grams of protein per day so much easier. I like fruit punch best which I mix in tall glass of ice and water. BUT, they have a VERY NASTY taste (grape is the most tolerable), so they are best when diluted with water - even better is adding a powdered drink mix (Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade, or Fruit Punch are good). Due to the gastric bypass surgery, I can't chug the thing, I must drink very slowly, so I can't recommend diluting highly enough!! I keep them handy, not only to use after exercise when muscles need support, but also when I get a case of "the hungries" on my low carb, high protein diet. We add them to one or two large glasses of (no sugar, low carb) pink lemonade and other flavored drinks and sip on them or slam them for a quick fix! Alone or mixed in something, these shots rock and are a must have. They are cleaner and don't have an extra seal to take of once you break the security seal and open the cap. I also liked the shape better. The new ones are sweeter, I'm not sure...
