It is by far NOT tasteless but it has a bland semi ok taste. Mixes well in yogurt and pudding. Ever Changing Flavor Gone Too Far This Timeby ElleJay from Sacramento, CA on 11/20/2010 I have been buying this product for 3 years now and though the flavor seems to change just a bit with each new batch I order (2 Jars every 2mos), this last change is way off!! First it has a very strong bitter artificial sweetener after taste that it has never had before. It also has a taste like that really bad powdered creamer stuff my parents used to use in the 70's. Before, it had a nice cocoa flavor. I've never thought of it as a "shake", it's always been way too thing of a consistency, but it usually makes for a refreshing drink. Also, this batch has these dark brown little bits that float to the top and are very hard to dissolve. Normally I have no problem dissolving the powder in either tepid or slightly cool water then adding ice. I'm very bummed that the flavor has changed this much. I'm afraid this will have to be my last purchase of it. Too bad, it's been a great afternoon drink, and a great way to get my protein in. Go back to your old formula Isopure!! When I received my order, I noticed that it only has 21 servings instead of the 44 listed by the site. Each serving has 220 calories versus the 100 listed. I understand that I can make half a drink and cut the calories and servings down. What is even more frustrating is that the product dissolves clear and is not a shake at all. The products states twice that it is not for weight reduction and that it only a food supplement. The website calls it a meal replacement. The taste is okay if you like chocolate flavored water. I just feel that a better description should have been given.
