How often have you heard that you need to lose weight to get healthy? How often have you been told that you must simply lose weight and all the problems with you health will also go away? This essay will cover principle 3 of the 7 Principles of Fat Burning. Here you will learn that you must get healthy first, THEN you'll be able to lose weight. I am sure that over time you have most likely heard that you need to lose weight so that you can be healthier. People tell you this is because obesity is a health risk that causes heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and stroke. This is right, isn't it? So many people keep saying that fat is the direct cause of these problems - guess what? This is actually false. It is actually quite the opposite of what we've learned. You need to become healthy before your body will be able to lose weight. The reason that you are fat is because some area of your body is not healthy. A whole host of illnesses ranging from heart disease and stroke, to diabetes and more can be traced back to an unhealthy body. Weight gain is but another cause of a body that is in bad health to begin with. The reality is that obesity is simply the result of bad health, not the cause. I am sure that many of you have suffered and struggled with weight. If you've been experiencing stubborn weight gain it has been the result of unhealthy hormones. You cannot be both fat and healthy - it just doesn't work. I'll repeat, you cannot be healthy if you're fat. Not until the body reaches a certain level of health will fat burning occur. You should not be surprised to learn why your body is holding on to fat so dearly if you understand the purpose of fat. The reason and purpose of fat is as a survival mechanism. Until the source of stress has been removed - the threat to survival - your body will not let go of the fat. This means that the body is not going to let go of fat until the body is healthy. When you try to jump in and fix your weight problem with dieting or calorie cutting or other typical exercises without first finding out where your problem lies is not the best approach to take either. Focusing on weight loss as your initial goal is the wrong approach to losing weight and getting healthy. The goal that you need to be going after is creating healthier glands and hormones. Weight loss will occur when your body gets healthier. The most important thing you can be aware of is that obesity is the effect, not the cause. It is a symptom. If you can keep yourself aware of this, you'll be able to start treating the symptoms of weight gain and not the cause. You'll be able to finally get a healthy body now that the symptoms of weight gain are no longer a problem. Learn about the Body Type Diet if you'd like to regain your health and lose weight.
