Do You Have The Metabolic Syndrome?


Just about 12-15 yrs ago, researchers from medical colleges at several universities started to notice an unusual group of health complications happening together: hypertension, high cholesterol, substantial extra fat content in the blood, diabetes, and an uncommon collection of excess fat around the waist (as opposed to becoming equally distributed over the entire body). This cluster of medical issues is known nowadays as metabolic syndrome. It is a far more dangerous than you might think.

Data suggests that more than

• 25 % of the U.S. population has the syndrome
