The quickest way to lose weight and keep it off, is to first of all be 100% positive, that you are going to lose weight. Then when you are certain that you are going to start a diet and stick to it, that is the time to start, and not before. If you start out without your heart being in it, you are doomed to fail! Drink lots and lots of water! Nothing will fill you up more than drinking lots of water. If you don't like drinking tap water. Either buy a large packet of spring water from the supermarket and keep several in the fridge. If that is too expensive, refill old water bottles and put a small amount of flavouring in it just to take the edge off. Vegetables will always be in every diet plan, no matter which plan you follow. Veggies are very good to bring with you, when you start to feel hungry if you can eat a carrot or some celery they will give you a full up feeling. You should have lots of veggies you like, the first thing you see when you open the fridge, not ice creams and sweets. You need a good diet plan setup for you by a person skilled in this role. The diet plan covers all types of food. The food you should eat regularly, the food you should eat now and then, the foods you should never eat, (Or very rarely). In any diet plan, there is an amount of exercise to do. Don't worry you do not have to try to kill yourself. Start off by doing simple exercises like walking up to the mailbox and back several times. When that gets easy to do, then have a go at walking around your block, or to the nearest bus stop and back. As it gets easier you can keep lengthening the distances you walk. Then you can start to get to know other people who are fitter like you. All of the best weight loss programs will advise you to eat a lot of fiber. Fiber is very good for cleaning out your internals. Try to have your last meal long before you go to bed. That will give your body time to digest it, and not have your body humming all night trying to digest that late meal.
