Eating healthy and working out at a bootcamp breeds results. If you are training consistently and following a regimented dietary plan then you should be losing weight. If that fat ain't flying, then you need to be aware of these 3 things.
These tips should tip the scales in your favor, and make you a testimonial for future bootcamp clients.
If you are not aware of it at this point, cortisol plays a vital role in reducing your body fat.
Cortisol is the stress hormone and although this is frustrating, it is essential to our survival, as this hormone is release when we experience any stress in our lives. This effectively keeps our bodies alert and functioning.
Good things aside, where we run into trouble with cortisol is normal everyday living and it constantly be elevated because we are stressed about the little things, the big things, the everythings...
Normal scenarios have us producing the hormone for a short time to cope with the situation and then returning to normal. But we seem to live in a stress filled world these days and yes, the cortisol is always on.
And yes, this will impede your body from losing fat and cause you to gain and hold onto that annoying bellyfat.
So if you go to a bootcamp, and you eat healthy, and you are not seeing the type of results you would expect, circumstance would lead us to believe that you have high levels of cortisol, and you need to return your metabolism to normal so you can start reaping the reward of bootcamp!
1. Get more sleep. You need a minimum of 6 hours of sleep to aid in minimizing stress, and thus help burn more bodyfat.
Sleeping tips:
sleep in complete darkness
limit the electronics in your room
2. Get more rest (you see a theme here). Not getting enough rest will cause cortisol levels to be elevated. Being in a constant state of repair will leave these levels and high make it an uphill battle for fat loss
Resting tips:
Give yourself a break and stop working out 6 days a week
Stretch more to aid blood flow to the worked muscle groups
Foam roll
3. Drink peaceful drinks aka green tea (with limited caffeine)
Drinking tips:
green tea has less caffeine than your regular cup of coffee
contains catachins - natural stimulants that boost energy levels, fight fatigue, and burn belly fat.
