It is possible to learn hypnosis techniques, which will allow you to practice hypnosis for weight loss on your own.

How can hypnosis help you lose weight? Hypnosis helps you focus attention. It makes you more responsive to suggestions, but it cannot make you shed pounds rapidly and effortlessly without changing your eating style and adopting an exercise routine. You should understand that listening to hypnosis CD's or DVD's does not burn fat or calories; hypnosis only helps you stick to a healthy diet and exercise program. If you do not adopt healthy eating habits, hypnosis will not help you lose weight.

You lose weight only if you eat fewer calories than you burn. Diets help you reduce your calorie intake; while exercise helps you increase your energy expenditure. Hypnosis can help you stick to your weight loss plan if you really want it. You may be gaining weight due to binge eating or other unhealthy eating habits. Hypnosis can help you stop binge eating, especially if it is caused by stress. Hypnosis helps you control your food cravings and avoid overeating. Healthy eating habits result in weight loss and improved health.

Hypnosis can also improve your motivation to lose weight. It will help you imagine that you have reached your goal, and this feeling of success may help you break through the weight loss plateau.

In conclusion, hypnosis cannot be considered the definitive solution to weight loss; however, hypnosis can still make an important contribution to weight control when combined with a healthy eating and exercise program. You have to make lifestyle changes to lose weight. Your doctor can recommend you a diet and exercise program that will help you reach your goals.
