Lose Weight and Replace Your Bad Eating Habits!


Your bad eating habits are not only the reason for your weight gain, but for your lack of progress if you're trying to lose weight. If you're ready to lose weight, then it is necessary that you change your eating habits.

We sometimes eat not only to get the nutrients, but as a social occasion as well. We might go to a party, snack a little, have some drinks, and maybe even go to dinner after the party. Or even at a family reunion, where the main attraction might be the food (besides your family of course). Although these interactions are OK, they can create a bit of trouble when you start to relate them with food. Here's how you can avoid this from happening:

  • Don't mix food with entertainment. It's way too easy to eat a whole bag of popcorn when watching TV. Avoid this. Unless it's time for your designated snack or meal.
  • Don't eat to overcome stress. Like any smoker, some people eat to reduce stress, and it can become unhealthy when you have to eat to alleviate stress. There are other ways to alleviate stress, like listening to music, reading, and even exercising. Try it!
  • Eating in a hurry. Truth is it's hard to eat like God intended if you're always in a hurry. And when you're in a hurry it can be easy to give in to junk food (fast food, candy machines, and unhealthy snacks). Since making time to eat might be difficult and we want to avoid making eating junk food a habit, plan your day one night ahead if possible. Prepare some snacks that you can carry. The time you invest in this will be reflected when you start changing your habits.

And honestly, no one eats perfectly (but you can try). However, if you're constantly losing control over what you eat, you're only creating more obstacles to achieve your weight loss goal.

Now that you know when your bad eating habits might get you, start thinking about those situations and realize if you're eating when you don't necessarily have to. Take out a piece of paper and write them down. Write down if you're eating fast food instead of home-made food (or even healthy food at some restaurant).

Something that most people don't realize is that there is a process to losing weight. And instead, people look for a magic pill that will relieve them of any effort on their part.
